To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he has received the report of the elections to the statutory committee of the creditors of BCCI; and if he will publish the results.

My officials have received a copy of Mr. Morris's letter of 23 June 1993 which was sent to all creditors of BCCI and which enclosed his report of the creditors meeting held on 27 May together with a report from Electoral Reform Ballot Services on the election of the liquidation committee.

Further publication is a matter for the liquidators.

There have been no meetings between my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade and the joint liquidators of BCCI.
