§ Mr. DayTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he intends to issue guidance to local authorities nationally on signing for speed cameras; and whether this guidance will distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate circumstances for erecting such signs.
§ Mr. KeySpeed camera signs can presently be authorised by the Department's regional offices in appropriate circumstances. I expect to issue a roads circular to provide guidance to authorities following consultation with the local authority associations.
