§ Mr. Douglas HoggGround forces deployed with UNPROFOR to deter attacks against safe areas will operate under existing UNPROFOR rules of engagement. Rules of engagement for air support of safe areas have been developed by NATO in conjunction with UNPROFOR and are being forwarded to the United Nations and troop contributors for agreement. All personnel are fully briefed on the UNPROFOR rules of engagement in force.
