To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on when the Maastricht treaty will come into force.

The Maastricht treaty will enter into forceon the first day of the month following the deposit of the instrument of ratification by the last signatory State tk take this step as outlined in article R of the treaty.
