asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have studied the impact of World Bank and International Monetary Fund policies on Zimbabwe, what conclusions they have drawn and what consequent action they propose to take through the governing bodies of both institutions.

We follow closely the progress of the Government of Zimbabwe's economic reform programme. We believe that due to these reforms, and the support of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and aid donors, Zimbabwe is making good progress, despite last year's drought.
