To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what information he has received from the United States Administration in regard to the future use of the nuclear test site in Nevada by the United Kingdom.

Mr. Aitken

We are in close contact with the United States Administration on all aspects of nuclear testing. President Clinton announced on 3 July that he was extending the moratorium on testing at the Nevada test site to the end of September 1994, provided that no other state tests before then.
