Who were the members of the London implementation group on hospitals; what were their qualifications and how they were appointed.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Baroness Cumberlege)

The specialty review team members were chosen by the London implementation group after consulting the chief medical officer, the chief nursing officer and the medical and nursing professional organisations. The chairman of each team is an eminent clinician in the relevant specialty, from outside London. The teams also included a senior London purchaser, general practitioners, nurses, other clinicians, therapists and patient representatives. Details of the members of each of the six specialty review teams are as follows:
