§ Mr. McLoughlinMy Department regularly receives representations about a range of postal issues, including quality of service. Royal Mail continues to make significant improvements in this area. Nationally, in 1992–93, 91.9 per cent. of first-class mail was delivered the next working day and 98.4 per cent. of second-class mail was delivered within three days.
