Payments made by the Crown prosecution service so far in relation to this case amount to £263,440.80 including VAT. 'This covers counsel fees, copying costs and obtaining transcripts. The full cost to the prosecution is still being assessed.
The above figure does not include related costs incurred by other agencies, such as the police and the Lord Chancellor's Department.
