§ Mr. ForthA supplementary credit approval of £76,000 was issued to Lancashire county council in 1991 in recognition of its expenditure needs at St. Mary's Church of England primary school, Rawtenstall. A further £906,000 within annual capital guidelines was allocated in 1992–93, followed by £556,000 for 1993–94, making a total sum of £1,538,000. These resources were allocated in respect of St. Mary's in response to a delegation to the then Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Mr. Fallon, from representatives of the school expressing concern about the state of the building. The allocation given was in line with the authority's cash bid. I am very concerned that the resources we have allocated have not so far been used for the urgent purpose of rebuilding the school.
