§ Mr. McLoughlinThe Government have been instrumental in helping the management charter initiative (MCI) to become established and fully support its efforts to promote the code of practice to all enterprises, including the small and medium sized. With the Department of Trade and Industry and Scottish Enterprise, the Employment Department is sponsoring an MCI development project to help training and enterprise councils, local enterprise councils and chambers of commerce better ensure that the management development needs of small and medium sized enterprises are met.
