HC Deb 26 January 1993 vol 217 cc686-7W
22. Mr. John Greenway

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will make a statement on her plans to improve the quality of NHS services.

Dr. Mawhinney

The Government have taken a number of measures designed to improve the quality of services to patients, and this was the driving force behind the reforms.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State recently announced a continuous quality improvement initiative. As part of this we aim to take the very best examples of good quality service and disseminate them widely. The initiative will also incorporate the experiences and perspectives of service users.
