HC Deb 26 January 1993 vol 217 cc646-7W
Mr. Barnes

To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he has received a report from the disqualification unit of the insolvency service following the move into receivership of Logic Control Systems of Clowne, Derbyshire, in July 1991; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Neil Hamilton

[holding answer 25 January 1993]: The Insolvency Service, acting on behalf of the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, has responsibility for considering reports made by insolvency practitioners on the conduct of directors of failed companies to determine, with advice from lawyers as appropriate, whether it is expedient to bring disqualification proceedings. This process, with regard to Logic Control Systems Ltd, is continuing.
