HC Deb 26 January 1993 vol 217 c618W
Mr. Wigley

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make it his policy to adjust the United Kingdom's corporate tax take in line with the average for Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development countries.

Mr. Dorrell

The level of tax on companies is considered each year in the Budget, and international comparison is one of the factors taken into account. The United Kingdom's main rate of corporation tax is currently the lowest of the EC and G7 countries, and one of the lowest of the OECD.
