§ Mr. MacleanThe United Kingdom believes that effective mechanisms for reporting and review of measures taken under the framework convention on climate change are vital for its effective implementation. We reiterated this point at the December 1992 meeting of the intergovernmental negotiating committee on the convention—INC—which took decisions on a plan of work in preparation for the first meeting of the parties to the convention. Among the issues which the INC will consider is the review of information communicated by developed countries on policies and measures for the mitigation of climate change.
