To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what was the rate of unemployment among graduates in each year since 1979; and if she will make a statement.

Results from the labour force survey show that, for graduates of working age in Great Britain, unemployment rates on the internationally agreed ILO definition, were as follows:

Note: Consistent estimates are not available for years prior to 1984.
