HL Deb 21 January 1993 vol 541 c86WA
Viscount Davidson

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What was the outcome of the Agricultural Council held on 18th and 19th January 1993.

The Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Earl Howe)

My right honourable friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, represented the United Kingdom at this quiet meeting of the Council, which followed that in December under the United Kingdom presidency, when decisions were taken on most outstanding issues.

Discussion concentrated on detailed issues. It was agreed that officials would conduct a technical appraisal of the compatibility of CAP reform with the draft Uruguay Round agreement.
