§ Mr. NeedhamThe opening up of public sector purchasing in the European Community and in the European Economic Area represents a major opportunity for suppliers in Europe. To ensure that British businesses are in a position to take full advantage of this, the EC public procurement programme features prominently in our single market literature. The single market booklet, "A Guide to Public Purchasing", is now in its fifth edition, and in total over 125,000 have been distributed.
