§ Mr. SoamesThe analysis of milk for contaminants provides a good indication of environmental contamination. The Ministry has therefore undertaken a survey of milk from farms in several rural and urban/industrial areas in the United Kingdom and published the results in food surveillance paper No. 31. The surveillance programme of dioxins in milk from farms in areas near to potential sources of dioxins is planned to continue.
