§ Mr. Ronnie Campbell
To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will list by region the percentage of ambulances in Northumberland that responded within(a) eight minutes and (b) 20 minutes to emergency calls for each of the last five years.

I refer the hon. Member to the reply that I gave him on 25 November 1992 at column728. In 1987–88, the Northumbria ambulance service responded to 60 per cent. of emergency calls within seven minutes and to 97 per cent. within 14 minutes.
