§ Mr. Kenneth CarlisleMy Department has been working with manufacturers and various international organisations to find better and more convenient ways of fitting child seats to vehicles. It is intended that this work will eventually result in European legislation requiring all cars to be fitted with anchorage points suitable for securing forward or rearward-facing restraints for children of all ages.
