Members representing constituencies within the health board area; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. StewartMy right hon. Friend expects to announce shortly appointments to fill vacancies arising in Argyll and Clyde health board. The consultation required by the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 has been carried out and the views of the health board chairman have been taken. There are no plans to consult hon. Members representing constituencies within the health board area; it is open to hon. Members, as some indeed have done, to suggest names for possible appointment to health boards.
