What action they are taking to secure the presence of Xanana Gusmao at the United Nations sponsored talks on the future of East Timorese which are due to commence in New York on 17th December.

It is for Portugal and Indonesia, together with the United Nations Secretary-General, to decide participation in any future round of talks.
