§ Mr. Robert JacksonThe Office of Public Service and Science is committed to the Government's policy for reducing the use of substances controlled under the Montreal protocol. The use of chlorofluorocarbons and hydrochlorofluorocarbons within the department continues to be reduced, with the aim of total elimination within the time scale of the protocol. Due attention is paid to the proper disposal of ozone-depleting chemicals.

§ Mr. Robert JacksonAir conditioning plant in use within the Office of Public Service and Science is regularly checked for leaks as part of the ongoing maintenance programme. A stipulation of any new installation of air conditioning equipment is the use of ozone-friendly refrigerants.
