§ Mr. FatchettTo ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) whether she will set out the cost to the United Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust of the further investigation currently being undertaken by Coopers and Lybrand into the Interleukin—6 research project; and if she will make a statement.
(2) whether her Department will instruct the United Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust to publish the Coopers and Lybrand report on the cost of the Interleukin-6 research project; and if she will make a statement.
§ Dr. MawhinneyI understand that the investigations by Coopers and Lybrand into the Interleukin-6 research project on behalf of the United Leeds teaching hospitals national health service trust are not yet complete. The costs of any investigation and decisions about publication of any report will be matters for the trust.
