(2) if he will make it his policy to ensure that a fast main line is built between Heathrow airport and London city centre as soon as possible.
§ Mr. FreemanDiscussions between BAA plc and British Rail about the funding of the Heathrow express project are continuing. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State and I met Sir John Egan and Sir Bob Reid on 10 December to review progress. I am hopeful that agreement on terms for funding the railway will be reached soon.
