To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what financial controls are imposed on loans granted by(a) Action with Communities in Rural England and (b) the Sports Council; and if he will make a statement.

[holding answer 14 January 1993]: The conditions attached to loans will depend on the terms of the scheme under which the loan is offered. Conditions vary between schemes and, over time, within schemes.
