§ Mr. NeedhamThe Export Credits Guarantee Department has attempted to negotiate the settlement of trade debts owed by Vietnam on which ECGD has paid claims. These negotiations have proved fruitless. The Vietnamese Government have now signalled their intention to regularise their payments position with their creditors and to seek a formal restructuring of the official debt under the auspices of the Paris club.
