§ Mr. Garel-JonesThe Edinburgh European Council declared the single market complete in all essential respects. The United Kingdom will now lay emphasis upon ensuring that the single market works in practice and on completing work in areas such as intellectual property, transport, and energy and telecommunications liberalisation.
