§ Mr. Stewart[holding answer 14 December 1992]: The Government do not publish forecasts of GNP growth in any of the countries or regions of the United Kingdom, including Scotland.
717WFor reference, the Chancellor's autumn statement included a forecast growth of 1 per cent. in United Kingdom GDP in 1993. I am confident that Scotland will share in this economic upturn.
Detailed projections of the Scottish economy are, of course, made by a number of independent economic consultants.
