To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what consultations he has had with the Natural Environmental Research Council on(a) the deficit in the budget of the Institute of Oceanographic Sciences, (b) the laying up of research vessels and (c) the proposed relocation of the research vessels service from Barry to Southampton; and if he will make a statement.
