HC Deb 11 January 1993 vol 216 cc561-2W
Mr. Llew Smith

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations from other Governments the United Kingdom Government have received concerning the sea shipment of plutonium from the European Community.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

The United Kingdom has received few such representations from other Governments. It is for those Governments to decide whether to make their views public. Any shipments of plutonium from the United Kingdom would meet or exceed the relevant international safety standards.
