§ Mr. Gwilym JonesIn 1991–92 the Department allocated an initial tranche of places to the district health authorities in which the treatment centres are located. The other authorities negotiated their places direct with the centres which agreed the final allocations with the Department.
§ Mr. MorganTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what correspondence he has had with the World Health Organisation in relation to(a) NHS Wales's relative position in the European health care systems management efficiency league table and (b) the relative international position of Wales in 1980 and 1990 in respect of infant mortality rate, incidence of heart disease and cancer; if he will place a copy of such correspondence in the Library; and if he will make a statement.

Correspondence with the regional office of the World Health Organisation on Wales' relative position in terms of key health status indicators, for inclusion in "Caring for the Future", was limited to short technical exchanges between statistical advisers.
§ Mr. Gareth WardellTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will fund the treatment centres in Wales on the same basis in 1993–94 as in the current financial year.
