715WAt the meeting on 25 January I outlined the actions taken by my Department in response to the Shetland oilspill and drew some preliminary conclusions from that experience. At my invitation the EC Commissioner for the Environment and Fisheries, Mr. Yannis Paleokrassas, subsequently visited Shetland on 19 February, when he was accompanied by my hon. Friend the Minister for Agriculture and the Environment in the Scottish Office.
