§ Lady Olga Maitland
To ask the Secretary of State for Education what assessment has been made of the proportion of religious education syllabuses which comply with the requirements of the Education Reform Act 1988.

The Department has made no such assessment.

To ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will publish the study undertaken by the National Curriculum Council into religious education syllabuses.
