§ Mr. CousinsTo ask the President of the Board of Trade how many times in each year since 1985 the powers conferred by section 448 of the Companies Act 1985 have been used.
§ Mr. Neil Hamilton[holding answer 23 February 1993]: My Department does not currently maintain specific records on the number of times the powers under section 448 of the Companies Act are used but we are making plans to do so. However, the powers are seldom used, probably not more than two or three times a year.
