Mr. Vaz

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, pursuant to his answer of 12 February to the hon. Member for Wyre Forest, (Mr. Coombs),Official Report, column 835, what was the total value of the bids put forward for urban partnership; and if he will list the successful authorities with (a) the value of the bids put forward, (b) the number of projects put forward, (c) the value of bids accepted and (d) the number of projects supported.

The total value of the bids submitted for a share of the urban partnership fund (UPF) was £82.1 million. The table lists for the successful authorities(a) the value of bids submitted, and (b) the number of projects/packages of projects submitted. A full list of proposed projects, together with the amount of UPF support which has been agreed in principle for each, has been placed in the Library of the House. It is open to local authorities to take forward proposals which have not been offered UPF support using their capital receipts and any private sector or other contributions.
