§ Mr. Archie HamiltonExpenditure up to 31 December 1992 on special capital payments to personnel who left the services on redundancy terms under "Options for Change" was £83.743 million. In addition, these personnel qualified for immediate terminal grants and pensions/retired pay which would normally have become payable on completion of their engagements/commissions. Up to 31 December 1992 expenditure on terminal grants was £64–647 million and on pensions/retired pay, including lump sum commutation payments, was £46.037 million.
