To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the number of convictions of assault on(a) male prison officers and (b) female prison officers at Durham prison, Frankland prison and Low Newton centre for the past 10 years.

Information about prisoners found guilty on adjudication of an assault on an officer or member of staff is available only from 1 April 1989 and is given in the table. The sex of the officer or member of staff is not recorded centrally.
