To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many deaths have occurred in the past five years after patients placed under supervision in Gartnavel hospital, Glasgow, have left the hospital.

Mr. Stewart

On the understanding that all in-patients are under supervision during their stay in hospital, four Gartnavel Royal patients have died in the past five years having left the hospital without being discharged.
