§ Sir Hector Monro[holding answer 23 February 1993]The Scottish Fisheries Protection Agency owns seven fishery protection vessels and two research vessels as follows:
Gross tonnage Fishery Protection Vessels Norna 1,385 Vigilant 1,250 Sulisker 1,250 Westra 885 Moidart 65 Morven 65 Skua 7 Research Vessels Scotia 1,521 Clupea 176 The fishery protection vessels are operated by the agency while the research vessels are operated by a private contractor. None of the vessels is on the fishing vessel register.
