§ Mr. StewartI understand that virtually no nurse clinical grading appeals submitted under section 32 of the General Whitley Council conditions of service are outstanding at health board level. On 1 February 1993 there were 729 appeals to the Scottish Appeals Committee outstanding. On the same date 586 appeals at national level remitted by the Nursing and Midwifery Staffs Negotiating Council to the Scottish appeal team secretariat were outstanding; the breakdown of these by health board is given in the table.
