HC Deb 19 February 1993 vol 219 c395W
Dr. Godman

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the availability of in-vitro fertilisation services within the national health service in(a) Strathclyde and (b) Scotland.

Mr. Allan Stewart

[holding answer 17 February 1993]: In-vitro fertilisation services are not available within the national health service in Scotland. However, there are four centres attached to the teaching hospitals in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow which offer these services. The arrangements vary in each centre as do the funding regimes.
