Mr. Alan W. WilliamsTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he intends to publish a report prepared by the Building Research Establishment concerning the effectiveness of the home energy efficiency scheme.
§ Mr. MacleanThe building research energy conservation support unit (BRECSU) has carried out an interim evaluation of the home energy efficiency scheme (HEES) on behalf of the Energy Efficiency Office. The data for that evaluation have come principally from interview surveys and energy audits. BRECSU is currently refining the data using fuel bill information. I hope to make the final report available to interested parties and to place copies in the Library of the House within the next three months.
