§ Mr. PortilloDuring the period 1 April 1991 to 1 October 1992, 62 central London-based administrative civil servants of administration trainee (AT) grade and above were made redundant. The AT grade is equivalent to assistant principal which ceased to exist in 1971.
These figures relate to the home civil service and are the latest available. Figures covering the period 1 July 1992 to 1 October 1992 are provisional.
Central London has been defined as covering the inner London weighting area, that is, within a five-mile radius of Charing Cross.
