§ Sir Patrick MayhewWhen the talks ended in November last year, all the participants agreed that further dialogue was both necessary and desirable. Accordingly, every effort is being made to create conditions under which further talks can take place at an early date. To this end, contacts are being maintained with all the participants at various levels.
