§ Mr. Gwilym JonesUnder the community care arrangements which will operate from 1 April 1993, it will be for local authorities to assess the needs of those requiring care and make appropriate arrangements in conjunction with other agencies, the individuals concerned and their families. The development of services for people with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia is the responsibility of joint county planning teams established under the mental illness strategy.
