To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will publish the operational guidelines for DSS officials to use when assessing whether, under regulations relating to the Child Support Act 1991, a mother or her children would face harm or undue distress if she were required to disclose details of an absent father.

Yes. The guidelines will be published before the launch of the agency on 5 April 1993.
