Mr. Dewar

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security, pursuant to his answer of 1 February,Official Report, column 26, if he will publish similar figures showing the value of the basic retirement pension and state earnings-related pension based on the assumption of earnings uprating, including estimates for 1993–94 (a) expressed as a proportion of average earnings and (b) showing what the monetary equivalents would be if the proportions were applied to estimated average earnings in 1993–94.
