To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the regulations protecting the environment which he proposes to take steps to rescind.

My right hon. Friend is currently reviewing all regulations protecting the environment to ensure that they are necessary, and that they are meeting their objectives in the most efficient way possible with the minimum burden on industry.
